BahCmoaSylvain v1.2.0 · 9 years ago

Does not (yet) work on Sierra

Is a new release planned which also supports macOS 10.12?

I spent the better part of two hours scouring the internet for find an OS X program to do exactly this, when in all actuality all I needed was 2 minutes on the App Store. The only things that could make this program better would be: 1. True timecode support for the the timestamp (frames, not milliseconds) 2. Preview of what the sheet will look like with generic frames as placeholders 3. Interval based sheets, eg. one frame every 20 seconds. You could set the number of frames wide the sheet will be, and it will just add rows as needed. Great app!

I really wish theyd let me know that many common formats are not supported. My Mac plays WMV files just wonderfully in the QuickTime player with Flip4Mac. That information is burried in a support page on the web site, but it absolutely not clear from the application description. Its downright misleading. Ill hang on to the App, hoping that a future update will surprise me. Giving it three stars for a good start.

Good program, simple interface and options ... very usefull and fast !!! Has some problems yet of white frames in mkv movies ... hope will be better in future versions. Miss support for .m2ts and .vob movies, if the developer could include in future versions would be great.

Well… this app is close to being great. I have had no issues with avi, mkv, mpg, … However, It really strugles at creating the thumbnails for WMV files. It usually will get the first thumbnail, and then none after that. If the support of wmv files improves, it would be a 5 star app to me...

This application works as expected and the price is right! I work with lots of high definition video that gets archived onto tape and now I have a great way to keep a library without having to restore hundreds of gigs of files. The only thing that would make this program any better would be RED/R3D support, then it would be an industry grade video application in my books.

My only wish is that I could set the font size for the metadata, and that I could rearrange the metadata (I can think of no reason that each item needs its own line of text). It generates great images, and in a hurry. This issue of speed with wmv files mentioned by a previous user is really -- I think -- a WMV issue. Anyone who has opened a WMV file on a Mac knows that it takes a while for the video to load into the movie viewer. (My solution to this is to convert wmv files to mp4 files as quickly as possible!) I have used other thumbnail generators and this app is way ahead of anything else I have used.

Bought this because the normal program I use has trouble with some movie formats. First video I tried, took a long time, saying converting, then ultimately failed and said unsupported format. it was a simple .avi file. Perhaps it works on other movies but failing out of the gate doesn’t impress me at all. I will keep looking.

Works very well!

My only complaints are that it won’t work with .wmv and some old .mpg videos that I have. It work great with every other video file.

This app works really well on a variety of videos that Quicktime can open. The largest issue we have with it is that you have to set the grid size, what would be more helpful is the ability to select an option to generate a thumbnail every 15, 30, 60 seconds, etc.
